  • What do you mean June is gone?

It can't possibly be the end of June. The temperature is more like early May, and we've scarcely seen the sun. My trips up to the cabin were each in the rain, and things never did really dry out. Weed whacking sodden greenery is not much fun. On the other hand, the few breaks when the clouds thinned made for some vivid colors. Of course, I had to get the camera out. The first photo is one of the mouse "houses" I had to remove from the cabin. The last four are: Andre', our 3 year old who is in training; The old family home, repainted; Fiery and Electra in the back yard this evening; and Windy in the sand paddock. The poor old girl is on a restricted diet.

You have nice pictures here. The more that I can't believe June is gone. You can still see its retreating shadow. Thanks for sharing.

The contrast in the flower/fern photos is great! These are vivid. I know . . . the weather has been so wet and everything is moist and clammy. I'm just hanging on waiting for the sun. We better get a nice stretch of Indian summer this year, or I'm really going to feel deprived!

Lovely pics. We're in our June fog. Some times it burns off and we'll have a clear day for the fourth. No matter. Our spirits are high as it's summer and we're all together.  We get Indian summer in Sept/ Oct so all is balanced.

June was unseasonably cool and wet for us as well...the oregano has taken over our butterfly garden...now we are in hotter than normal temps.  I'm sure it will all work itself out sometime this summer.  The house looks very neat, and the fog on the mountains.
