Love that fancy place, Andi! It's one of the sweetest places on earth.

Not only nice photos, but also a nice arrangement on  you website!
Really like the reflections and clear water shots.

@Peej4me - Be sure to spend some time there if you're back east some time, Patty.

@BookMark61 - It took a little fussing to get things to line up, but that was a pleasant way to wind down at day's end.

what lovely pictures.  Reminds me of places near me, although I am sure they are much further east than I am.

  • dryvona

@DixieD - Way further east :)  From the top of our highest mountain you can see the Atlantic (on a rare crystal clear day).  We don't have anything much to compare to Idaho's mountain ranges, though.

Trusty has a kayak that looks just like the green one
You guys did better fishing then I did today, caught three but two of them were smaller then the lure

@ElevenStones - That was a rare day's fishing, I'll tell you. As well as those I kept, I caught and released another 4 nice size fish, and half a dozen little guys.

Whenever conditions make for an interesting picture I stop by that particular lake and take pictures of the mountains across the water. When we pulled into the parking lot there was a party going on in the lakeside grove, and boats pulled up all along that stretch of shore. Most of them sported some sort of mast to be rigged, with lanterns hanging from it.

I asked one of the boaters what the story was: The Sunday of Labor Day weekend all of the locals celebrate with a sunset picnic followed by a parade of lights on the lake.

I love the Parade of Lights! The old boat house is cool, that is worth a set of it's own shots! Looks like you had a great time!
